Theme Weekends in Cal Brentxat, Calaceite Cal Brentxat offers you the chance to spend your weekends learning and practising the traditional culinary and agricultural skills still in use in the area.
Preparation of Conserves Conserves of all kinds have been made in Cal Brentxat for over 40 years. Spend a weekend in beautiful surroundings learning how to make your own traditional conserves- grilled vegetables or samfaina, tomato sauce, marmalades, pickles meats
		- then take them home with you.. You'll never want to buy a commercial brand again! This activity is done in groups of 10 in September-October and place must be previously reserved.
The Slaughtering of the Pig Take part in one of the oldest traditions which is still widely practised in El Matarranya. Cal Brentxat gives you the chance to take part in a friendly, family gathering round the fire and the pot to prepare and cure the meats which feed a family throughout the year. Learn how to prepare sausage of all kinds, how to salt meat and re-learn that these kinds of produce do not spring, ready made from a supermarket shelf. This activity is done in groups of 20 people between November and January and requires reservation.

		La Calçotada Enjoy roasting tender white leeks in a special place. Cal Brentxat organises large "calçotadas" in the country along with competitions for the best traditional sauce. Who knows? you may win the Great Calçot! The Calçotada takes place during the "Calçot" season, in groups of 40 people and requires reservation.
Furniture Restoration Learn the art of restoring old furniture: Cleaning Disinfecting Colour Recovery Varnishing Waxing Bring your own piece of furniture and take it home better than new. Furniture restoration is done in groups of 10 people and requires reservation.
Enjoy the countryside while you bake your own bread and later enjoy it with our home made cured meats. This activity is carried out in groups of 20 and requires reservation.		Bread and Pastry Baking How often have you seen an advertisement which tempts you with the aroma of freshly made home baked bread? Take the chance to experience it yourself. In the Mas de Vilallong which belongs to Cal Brentxat, we have a wood burning oven and make our bread and pastries the old fashioned way.
